Chancer’s Hooley is not your father’s Irish band” – The Celtic Connection, May 2013

What is Chancer’s Hooley? One of the best Celtic bands in the Denver and the Front Range area of Colorado (in our oh so humble opinion). We play a blend of modern and traditional Celtic music with some great classic rock around the edges. Your feet will be tapping, your head will be bopping and you will be singing along for sure!

Chancers Hooley is Tim Dwyer on guitar & vocals, Linda Bolander on violin, viola & cello, Dave Hoffman on drums & vocal and Kevin McCotter on bass & vocals.

Based out of Denver, Chancer’s Hooley has performed on stages across the Colorado Front Range, including the Colorado Irish Festival, Elizabeth Irish Fest, The Peoples Fair and too many pubs and clubs to list.

With musical choices ranging from covers of rebel rock and drinking tunes to originals that span everything from philosophical life approaches, Irish blessings, and more drinking, "Chance's Hooley has something for everyone" as Roger Hara of the Celtic Connection put it in a recent review of Chancers Hooley's new album Fish on the Line.

What does the name Chancer’s Hooley mean? Well, nothing really. But it describes the band quite accurately.  A “Chancer” is Irish slang for a crazy person who likes taking chances on wild things. And a “Hooley” is an Irish jam session or party. Come out to a show and you’ll see for yourself that Chancer’s Hooley is exactly that – a Hooley with a bunch of Chancers! We hope that you will join us soon and become a “Hooligan” yourself!
